Chester Beatty Free Public Tour
Free 1-hour highlights tour of the Chester Beatty collections. Wednesdays at 17:30, Saturdays at 14:00, and Sundays at 15:00. No booking required.
What to expect...
This guided highlights tour introduces visitors to some of the most important objects in the Chester Beatty collections. A museum guide leads a small group through the galleries, stopping at selected manuscripts, prints and artworks from across Asia, the Middle East, North Africa and Europe. The content changes depending on which exhibitions are open, but the format is always the same: slow-paced walking, short stops at key objects, and opportunities to ask questions. The tour runs on three specific weekly time slots: **Wednesdays at 17:30**, **Saturdays at 14:00**, and **Sundays at 15:00**. Each tour lasts about an hour. Families are welcome, and the tour is suitable for children who enjoy guided storytelling and looking at objects closely. The route uses lifts between floors, and buggies or mobility aids can be brought along easily. Seating points are available throughout the galleries for those who need a break.
