South Dublin On Ice @ The Square Tallaght
Real ice skating rink in the car park at The Square Tallaght, with 45-minute sessions, skate aids for kids, sensory-friendly times and family ticket options.
What to expect...
Families arrive at the rink in The Square Tallaght car park, check in at the box office and swap shoes for skates before heading onto a full-size real-ice rink under cover. Staff help with sizing and lacing up skates, and marshals stay on the ice throughout to keep sessions moving safely. There are railings all around the edge, smaller dolphin chairs and double-blade strap-on skates for younger or nervous skaters, plus space in the middle for more confident kids and teens to practice turns. Most sessions run with music and simple lighting, while some advertised slots are kept quieter with minimal music and lower lighting for sensory-friendly skating. Families step straight back into The Square for toilets, food and indoor seating once their time on the ice finishes.
