Swords On Ice is a seasonal ice rink set up outside Pavilions Swords for the Christmas period. Skaters check in, get fitted with skates and then have a 45-minute session on real ice, with music playing and staff on the rink to help keep things safe and moving. Sessions are open to all ages, so you will see families, groups of friends and couples sharing the ice together. Younger children can use penguin-style skate aids to help them balance, and there is a viewing area beside the rink for adults or grandparents who prefer to watch rather than skate. Skates are included in the ticket price and there are different ticket options for adults, children, students, groups and families. The rink is outdoors but under cover, so you still feel the winter air without being fully exposed to rain. Toilets, baby changing and plenty of food and coffee options are available inside Pavilions Swords just a short walk from the rink.
