After Dark: Creepy Characters with Oisín McGann
Free Halloween drawing workshop at Chapters with author-illustrator Oisín McGann. Kids create their own creepy characters and help him draw an original monster.

What to expect
Oisín McGann, a children's writer and illustrator, talks about how he got started and shows a few drawing tricks. Kids then invent and draw their own creepy characters while he talks them through it. To finish, the group gives him ideas and he draws a brand-new monster from scratch. It's a lively, hands-on session at tables, and no drawing experience is needed. One session suits kids 9 and under, the other ages 10+, and mixed-age families are welcome at both.
