All Things Irish Takeover at Dublin Zoo
Four-day St. Patrick’s festival at Dublin Zoo with Disco Bingo, games, crafts, face painting, puppet shows, keeper talks, and live Irish music on 17 March. Included with normal zoo admission.
What to expect...
A four-day St. Patrick’s festival programme at Dublin Zoo running from 14 to 17 March 2026. The event adds extra family activities to a normal zoo visit, with interactive Disco Bingo shows, games sessions, and shared creative spaces in the Discovery & Learning Centre. Families can also catch puppet shows, keeper talks, face painting, and themed St. Patrick’s Day craft activities during the takeover.
On St. Patrick’s Day itself, the programme includes live traditional Irish music in the Meerkat Restaurant and disco sessions in the Discovery & Learning Theatre. Dublin Zoo describes the takeover as a site-wide celebration of Irish warmth, humour, community, and heritage, with a mix of music, storytelling, and shared experiences across the four days.
This is not a separately ticketed workshop or show. The activities are included with standard Dublin Zoo admission, and visitors can attend as part of a regular zoo day. Dublin Zoo is open from 9:30am to 6:00pm during the event dates.
