What to expect...
A Bluey-themed pottery painting session at Dublin Pottery in Smithfield for kids aged 5+ and the adults coming with them. You book a 2-hour slot, choose a ceramic piece in the studio, and paint it at the table using the studio colours and tools. Staff are on hand if you want help with ideas or simple design tips, but the session is beginner-friendly and does not require previous pottery painting experience.
This is a seated studio session rather than a taught class. Children paint with a parent or guardian present throughout, and everyone taking a seat in the studio must have a ticket and paint a piece. The Eventbrite ticket is a €5 deposit, not the full pottery price, and that deposit is deducted from the ceramic you choose in the studio.
After the session, Dublin Pottery glazes and kiln-fires each piece. Items are usually ready for collection in around 2 to 6 weeks. Once the collection email is sent, pieces are stored for up to 30 days before being donated if uncollected. Food is allowed, and families can bring their own tea, coffee, drinks, and snacks, but no alcohol is permitted.
