What to expect

Dublin's Historian in Residence for Children, Lorcan McEvoy, spreads out maps of the city from different centuries and gets kids comparing them — what was marshland, where the walls ran, which streets appeared and vanished. Then everyone draws their own map of Dublin. It is a looking-and-drawing hour pitched at 7 to 12 year olds, and an adult stays with each child throughout.
