Children's History Workshop: History Through Objects (ages 10 to 12)
An afternoon artefact workshop for older children, reading objects from the past to work out how children lived, then making one of their own.

What to expect
The afternoon sitting of the same artefact workshop, pitched a few years older. Lorcan McEvoy, Dublin's Historian in Residence for Children, sets out objects from different centuries and kids read them the way an archaeologist would: who owned this, what games did they play, how did they live? Everyone then makes an artefact of their own. Suits 10 to 12 year olds, with an adult staying alongside.
