What to expect...
Families move between the main courtyard, house and parkland while a Christmas food and craft market runs in the grounds. Stalls sell hot drinks, seasonal snacks and handmade gifts beside an outdoor crib and large Christmas tree. Across the day there are short magic and puppet shows, storytelling sessions and carol singers, including performances in the ballroom. Horse and carriage rides operate around the estate when conditions allow. Most people drift in and out, spending time at the market, catching a show, then walking the lakeside and garden paths.
