Culture Night at the National Concert Hall
Free Culture Night music workshops at the NCH: play Indonesian gamelan, try percussion or sing in a pop-up choir, plus a short youth choir performance.

What to expect
Three hands-on music workshops repeat through the evening. In the Gamelan Room you take your shoes off and sit on the floor to play the Indonesian gamelan. Room 103 has a percussion session led by Des Lacey, and the Kevin Barry Recital Room becomes a pop-up choir singing in the round. No experience needed. The NCH youth choirs, Cór Linn and Cór na nÓg, also give a short performance on the John Field Room steps that any age can watch.
