What to expect...

Three days commemorating the 1916 Easter Rising on its 110th anniversary. Drop into Museum Reception on Friday morning or Saturday lunchtime to handle real artefacts (uniform pieces, historical ammunition, and original documents) with museum staff. Each family gets 5–15 minutes. On Saturday and Sunday afternoons, join two free guided tours: one covering the 1913–1923 period of conflict and another on Revolutionary Women, drawing on the Soldiers and Chiefs collection. Works best for school-age kids and teens who can follow historical content. Free throughout. Handling is drop-in; tours are first-come, first-served.
