Free Sunday drop-in family art workshop at IMMA (2pm). Make artwork inspired by current exhibitions in the Project Spaces.
What to expect...
Drop in on Sunday afternoons for a hands-on family art session linked to what’s currently on in IMMA. You usually start by looking at a small number of artworks, then move to the Project Spaces to make your own piece using simple materials (drawing, collage, colour, and texture). The Visitor Engagement Team keeps things moving and helps families get started, but it’s relaxed—kids can follow the prompts closely or do their own version. It works well for primary-school kids who like making and chatting about what they’ve seen, but younger children can still join in with an adult’s help. Expect a bit of mess and busy tables. Spaces are limited on the day, so arriving around the start time gives you the best chance of getting in.
