What to expect...

A hands-on introduction to printmaking for children and adults. You use lino tools and inks to carve and press your own designs, then print them onto paper. Each participant takes home a finished print and their hand-cut lino block so you can keep printing at home.

Younger children can skip sharp tools and use pre-made stamps in different sizes and styles to layer patterns and colours on paper. The focus is on trying a new technique and seeing a design come to life on the page. Expect some inky hands – the inks are safe and wash off easily with soap and water.

The workshop runs in English and Lithuanian as part of the Mother Tongues Festival and is supported by the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania.
