What to expect...
A monthly parent-and-toddler gardening group held in the Victorian Walled Gardens at Festina Lente. Each session follows a gentle outdoor routine designed for very young children. Families start with a simple nature warm-up and exploration, followed by active outdoor play and movement games. Toddlers then take part in plant-based crafts and hands-on gardening activities such as sowing seeds or planting seasonal crops. Sessions finish with a calm wind-down activity inspired by nature themes. The group is designed for toddlers aged 1–4 with their parent or guardian and takes place entirely outdoors in a safe, enclosed garden environment. Parents remain with their children throughout and are encouraged to relax, socialise, and enjoy the garden setting.
