The Bram Stoker Festival turns St Patrick's Park into a spooky Gothic playground, with the cathedral looming alongside. Kids ride the Victorian-style carousel and get their faces painted (both free), watch street theatre like Walk The Plank's undead pirate ghost ship and Logy on Fire's juggling and fire tricks, and dance at family dance parties in the performance tents. You wander between the tents, food stalls and games at your own pace, and fancy dress is strongly encouraged. Expect amplified music and a few macabre thrills.
