What to expect...
Ta Tum Tum! is an interactive performance where children (and grown-ups) join in with Brazilian rhythms through singing, movement and body percussion. The performers guide the audience through playful call-and-response songs — including Portuguese phrases — and simple rhythm patterns that young children can copy straight away.
Inspired by Brazilian traditions such as samba, forró and frevo, with movement influenced by samba and capoeira, the show brings plenty of energy and chances to get involved rather than sit quietly. Expect clapping, moving, singing and lots of rhythm.
Created by Artistic Director Kasia Eliasz and performed by Brazilian artists William Kanela (vocals and Portuguese call-and-response), Franklin Martin (movement influenced by samba and capoeira), and Marcio Tarktarov (percussion and traditional rhythms), the performance offers a lively introduction to Brazilian culture.
It’s aimed at children aged 3–7, and an adult must stay with and supervise their child throughout, as the performance is designed for active participation.
