The Enchanted Glade
Free, bookable 80-minute immersive installation at Rua Red where families wander through a magical shadow world, meet the musical Travelling Man, and listen to stories in different languages. Suitable for ages 3+.

What to expect...
Step into a dream-like landscape built from light, shadow and everyday objects. Children wander through the space, noticing small details, watching shadows stretch and shift across the walls, and experimenting with how simple objects turn into big shapes and stories. Alongside the artists, families can create their own "shadow dreams" and explore the installation at their own pace.
Within the glade you’ll meet The Travelling Man, a live musical character who fills the room with songs and rhythms from different places. There’s also a cosy tented corner called Let Me Read You a Story, where fathers from the Language Explorers community share favourite children’s books in their mother tongues.
Each 80-minute time slot includes access to the full installation, The Travelling Man, and one storytelling session. Children must remain supervised by an accompanying adult at all times.
In the Let Me Read You a Story sessions, each time slot features a story in a different language, allowing us to travel the world through sound:
10:30 am: Italian
12:20 pm: Spanish
2:25 pm: English
