The Journey Through Song
Interactive music workshop at Rua Red where children sing, play rhythm games and travel from country to country through music. Ages 5–8.
Saturday, 21 Feb
11:30-12:30
What to expect...
You join a pretend ship’s crew that’s lost at sea and needs help navigating back to Ireland. As the ship docks in different countries, children learn a traditional rhythm from one place, then move into a game or song from another. The session moves quickly from port to port, exploring the sounds of different cultures through play and movement. Adults stay with children and are encouraged to join in the songs and games as everyone works together to find the way home. The workshop is mainly in English, with families invited to bring their own language into the session.
