What to expect

A museum storyteller tells The Sea Baby, a strange and unsettling tale from Ireland's Atlantic shore, where fishermen setting out from Lenadoon haul up something nobody was ready for. It comes from the darker side of Irish folklore (collected in Kilglass, Co. Sligo, for the Schools' Collection in the 1930s), and you hear it up close in the museum's intimate rooms. It's a taster of how the museum tells stories, with the tale taking shape between teller and listener.
