Ardgillan Castle and Gardens
Coastal parkland with a standout playground and gardens, plus optional self-guided tours inside Ardgillan Castle.
About
A big coastal garden (demesne) between Balbriggan and Skerries where families usually mix a playground stop with a walk and (optionally) a short visit inside the house. The playground is a highlight, with equipment for small kids and bigger climbers, and there are picnic benches right beside it. For walks, you’ve got open grass, woodland paths and sea views, plus the walled/rose garden areas when they’re in season. If you do the castle, it’s a self-guided tour through period rooms and the old working kitchens and takes about half an hour.
