Beyond the Trees Avondale is a treetop walk and viewing tower set inside Avondale Forest Park near Rathdrum, Co. Wicklow. Families follow a gently sloping timber boardwalk through the trees, with play elements and viewing spots along the way, before reaching a circular tower that winds up above the canopy. From the top, you can see across the Avonmore River valley and the surrounding Wicklow hills. The walk is long enough to feel like an outing but still manageable with younger kids and buggies. At ground level there are forest trails, a walled garden and space for children to roam, plus the story of Avondale House and Irish forestry woven through signs and exhibits. Many families finish with time in the playground and a stop at the café before heading home.
