Bolands Mills
Public squares, playground, cafés and community events in a restored docklands complex beside Grand Canal Dock.
About
Bolands Mills is a restored industrial complex on Grand Canal Dock with open plazas, walkways and a small playground that make it an easy place for families to stop and wander. Kids usually gravitate towards the open paved areas for scooting or running laps while adults pick up a coffee from one of the independent spots that have opened around the site. The area mixes old stone buildings with new public squares, and there is public art throughout, including a large mural that’s easy for children to spot. The Factory building hosts regular community events such as workshops, markets and small performances, which can add something extra if you arrive on an event day. It works well as part of a short outing around the dock rather than a full destination on its own.
