EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum
Hands-on museum in CHQ with 20 interactive galleries about Irish emigration—fully indoor, buggy-friendly, and ideal for school-age kids.
About
Interactive museum in the vaults of the CHQ Building that tells the stories of Irish people who left and how they shaped the world. Families move through 20 themed galleries with touchscreens, motion games, film rooms and soundscapes; kids collect stamps in a paper passport as they go. The route is on one level, fully indoors, and easy to manage with buggies, with lifts at the entrance and exit and lots of places to pause. Visits usually take between 90 minutes and two hours, and you can step out to the CHQ cafés and return later the same day. Best for school-age children who can engage with the stories and multimedia displays, though younger ones enjoy the lights and stamping trail.
