The 1912 Carnegie building at the western end of George's Street Lower, which served as Dún Laoghaire's public library until services moved to the dlr LexIcon in 2014. After refurbishment it reopened in April 2024 as an IADT campus building, housing staff offices on the ground floor and postgraduate study space in the original library room above. It is not a drop-in venue and there is no children's library here. Families come only for scheduled public events and exhibitions, which the council and IADT are still building into a regular programme. Check what's on before travelling, since the building is otherwise closed to visitors.
