About
Marlay Park is a spacious 300-acre park in Rathfarnham and one of Dublin’s most popular family outdoor spots. It features two playgrounds (including a large regional play space), lakes and woodland trails, picnic areas, cafés, and plenty of room to roam. The restored Marlay House and nearby courtyard host craft studios and weekend CoCo Markets, adding a community feel and great food options.
Families love the buggy-friendly paths, duck pond stops, wide open lawns for play, and seasonal surprises like the putting green and outdoor events. The park is also the official starting point of the Wicklow Way, making it a gateway to longer nature walks for older kids and teens.
Public toilets are available near the courtyard; note that playground toilets are currently closed. Entry is free and gate times vary by season.
