Meeting House Square

A public event square in Temple Bar, tucked between Eustace Street and Sycamore Street. It’s an open pedestrian space rather than a contained venue, so what it’s like depends on what’s happening that day. Families often pass through for the Saturday food market, stop to watch a daytime performance, or include it as part of a city-centre wander near the Irish Film Institute. The square was designed specifically for outdoor events, with a built-in stage area, projection booth and large retractable umbrellas (not always in use). It suits children who are comfortable in busy urban spaces rather than those looking for play equipment or structured activities.
