National Transport Museum
Transport museum in Howth with vintage buses, trams and service vehicles (1883–1984). Open weekend and bank holiday afternoons.
About
A small, volunteer-run transport museum tucked into the Heritage Depot at Howth Castle Demesne. Inside you’ll find restored Irish vehicles from the late 1800s to the 1980s—buses, trams, fire engines, commercial trucks and more—laid out like a working depot rather than a polished gallery. Kids who are into anything with wheels will spend ages spotting old bus routes, peering into driver cabins, and comparing the sheer size of the vehicles up close. Best for curious school-age kids, but toddlers still like the scale and colours.
