Saint Stephen's Green
Historic city-centre park with a playground, lake, sculptures and a braille garden; step-free paths and summer bandstand concerts.
About
Central city park laid out in a Victorian style with lawns, formal beds and over 3.5km of paths around an ornamental lake and small waterfall. Families typically loop the paths to see ducks and sculptures, pause at the bandstand, and spend time in the playground (separate areas for younger and older kids). There’s also a Garden for the Blind with aromatic plants and braille labels. Paths are step-free and buggy-friendly, and the main entrance is through Fusiliers’ Arch at the top of Grafton Street. It suits toddlers up to tweens for a short runabout, picnics on fine days, and quick nature time between city centre errands.
