A small square of grass and paving off Jervis Street, tucked behind the Mary Street shops. It was the graveyard of St Mary's Church until 1966, and because the burials are still down there, the 2022 rebuild raised most of the lawn 600mm onto granite rather than dig into it. The restored headstones line one edge as a quiet garden. What's left is open hybrid grass and granite-clad benches in the middle of the north inner city. At just under an acre, with streets on three sides, it works as a breather during a shopping trip rather than a destination in itself.
