What to expect...
MnáFest is a four-day St Brigid’s weekend festival spread across Ardgillan Castle and its grounds. The programme runs from Friday to Monday and mixes drop-in elements with bookable, timed sessions. Events take place in different rooms inside the castle as well as outdoors around the demesne.
The schedule changes each day and includes a wide range of women-led workshops, talks and wellbeing sessions. Some events are easy to attend as a family, such as heritage talks and craft demonstrations linked to Imbolc and St Brigid’s traditions. Others are clearly adult-focused, including yoga, sound baths and women’s circles.
There’s no single festival ticket. You can visit the grounds for free and then choose to book individual sessions that interest you. Many of the most popular events book out, so it’s worth checking the programme in advance and reserving specific workshops before you go.
