What to expect...
A short guided tour at the National Museum of Ireland – Archaeology on Kildare Street about the artefacts and shrines associated with Ireland’s patron saints: St Patrick, St Brigid and St Colmcille. The tour looks at what archaeological evidence can tell us about the introduction of Christianity to Ireland in the early medieval period and how it influenced the development of writing. You meet in Reception and follow the guide through the Treasury exhibition on the ground floor and the Medieval Ireland exhibition on the first floor. The tour lasts about 25 minutes and admission is free.
